Synopsis[]

Wilhelm struggles with his grief and what the loss of his family member means for his future. Simon pressures August to repay him.

Plot[]

The episode opens with Erik's funeral where Wilhelm walks down the aisle as everything is transmitted live on TV. Simon, concerned, tries to reach him through texts to no avail. After the funeral, Wilhelm and his family go back home to have dinner and his mother begins to talk about his responsibilities and how he will be compared to Erik with every step, which makes him even more distressed. The Queen makes a call to August to ask him to take care of Wilhelm personally and August rejoices, as he finally can prove himself and maybe earn some money. He begins to plan with Vincent, his friend, to introduce Wilhelm to "The Society".

Wilhelm goes back to school where after the choir he gives a speech about his brother Erik, about how he will honor his legacy and make him proud by becoming a worthy Crown Prince. With that, he begins to push Simon out of his life, by asking him to delete all the texts from between them. Each of them now have to deal with not being together. Wilhelm is moved into a new bigger room where he has guards. In the room, he tries to forget about Simon but it only makes him think about him more, so he goes outside for a breath of fresh air where he meets Felice and gives her his jacket.

Simon needs money for his dad to steal medicine, so he could give it to August and make him sell it, by blackmailing him with the fact that August is "broke".

August and Felice are having sex, and when he sees her closing her eyes, his insecurities get the better of him and accuses her of thinking about somebody else and that's when the jealousy and possessiveness starts. After school, Sara and Felice meet at the station and Sara apologizes for how she acted at Parents’ Day and they make up. Back at the dorm, Felice finds August in her room, and almost immediately, he recognizes Wilhelm's jacket, rips it from her hand and goes to Wilhelm's room to demand an explanation only to be stopped by Wilhelm's guard. At school, August transfers the money from the sold medicine to Simon before he sees Felice and Wilhelm together talking and laughing. With time, he gets more jealous, stalking Felice's social media in hopes of finding her. He goes to the stables where he finds Sara and asks her about Wilhelm's and Felice's relationship. In a desperate effort, he kisses Sara.

Later, Wilhelm finds an envelope with information and a key about where the meet up of "The Society" is going to happen. The scene changes and now Simon is being confronted by his dad about stealing medicine and selling it. Simon calls his dad pathetic and storms out. Wilhelm is led by Alex, August's errand boy, to the secret location of "The Society". Inside, he finds August and some other guys, and he is made to swear that he will work to prevent the extinction of The Society's noble families and he does. The night begins as they start drinking, playing games and getting high. After, August and Wilhelm find themselves outside where Wilhelm confides in August about his troubles.

Wilhelm leaves still high and goes to the football field, where his mind continues to wander, grief starting to set in. As he lays on the grass, he calls Simon to tell him that everything is fake and to confess that he likes him and that the only thing that's real is his affection towards Simon. "Simon... I like you." --- "I found it out. You see, everything is fake. Everything is fake, Everything in the world is fake. It's, like, you know... The grass on the football field isn't even grass. It's... It's plastic!" --- "All the people are fake. They're made out of metal. But I like you. And that is not fake."

Simon comes and gets him as Wilhelm continues to tell him that he likes him and how beautiful Simon is. Eventually Simon gets Wilhelm back on his feet and they go back to the dorm. After they wake up, they lay down together and Simon says that he likes him too, and soon, they start making out. Meanwhile, August was walking by the windows trying to find Alex, but instead he saw Wilhelm with someone, so he took his phone out and filmed them. The episode ends with the realization dawning on August that Wilhelm is with a boy, not a girl.
