Linda is one of the recurring characters in Young Royals. She is portrayed by Carmen Gloria Pérez.
Biography[]
Background[]
Linda is of immigrant descent, born and raised in Venezuela. She later immigrated to Sweden in look for a better life. She is a working class mother, who is the only working person in her household to take care of her two children.
Throughout the Series[]
Season 1[]
During dinner, Sara asks Linda to improve her posture and asks for her to buy new riding britches. Linda says that it is not smart to buy fancy clothes just to impress people, but Sara adds that they're falling apart. After Simon calls Sara a snob, Sara storms off and yells that she wants to go to school peacefully without any friends. Linda is then told by Simon that they were invited to a party, and she relaxes to hear that Sara is fitting in.
Later, when she receives a bill from Hillerska for Simon's tutoring, she is annoyed, stressing that they cannot pay the money. She comes to the Sankta Lucia event at the school, and is openly proud of her two children, but closes up when Micke shows up. She is shocked to discover that Simon has been communicating with his father. In the final episode, Linda is shown playing cards with her children and Ayub, before Wille makes his statement, and then she spends her time looking after her son.
Season 2[]
Linda plays a smaller role, but is still present. She is externally happy for Sara to win her scholarship to Hillerska, but is anxious about letting her go. Sara does not message or visit frequently enough, and Linda misses her greatly, with Simon being forced to wrangle Sara into coming home to visit. When Simon reveals he knows who posted the video, Linda takes charge of the situation and calmly offers to take him to the police station. She is annoyed when he does not show up.

Physical Appearance[]
Linda has light brown skin and dark curly hair. She wears casual clothes mostly. We see her hair in a bun most of the time.
Personality[]
Linda is a supportive and caring mother to her children. She loves her children and is there for them when they need her. Occasionally, we see her being too passive sometimes. For instance, when Simon and Sara's father comes to Sankta Lucia, she does not say a word although she should have. Similarly, she lets Simon talks to Sara when Sara talks trash about their household at the last episode of season 1. Lisa Ambjörn, the head writer of the series, addressed these issues in her IG live. So, we can assume Linda is too passive to speak up sometimes.

Simon[]
Simon and Linda seem to have a relatively good relationship, with there being a lot of lightness between them. However, Simon tends to close off when he feels strong negative emotions, and Linda is often sidelined.
Sara[]
Linda feels like Sara does not communicate well enough with her. She expects her daughter to send her a text when she arrives at Hillerska, but does not. Furthermore, Sara feels like her mother is too uncouth at times, and resents her weakness for not leaving Micke sooner. Sara never replies to Linda in Spanish, unlike her brother.
