Pernilla August (born Mia Pernilla Hertzman-Ericson) is a Swedish actress, director, and screenwriter. She portrays Queen Kristina in Netflix's Young Royals.
She is most widely known for her role as Shmi Skywalker in the Star Wars prequels: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999) and Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002).
